From Jack to Jack (Halloween on BoonieBlam)
11/01/2020
Happy Halloween, Everyone! (or actually Day of the Dead technically) I wanted to make a post documenting my adventure on my island of me getting the Jack Outfit. I havent been on my island in a lonnnggg time ( I was in a bad head space for a bit but Im okay now) but I wanted to at least get to enjoy the best day of the year in the best game of the year while I still got the chance, so here's a tale of how I went from Jack to JACK!....(btw excuse the way my island looks I haven't done any of my dailies in a min, but I think it adds to the SpOoKY atmosphere, and most of these screenshots are terribly timed because I was just really excited to be a pumpkin for a day and get virtual candy from cute animals dressed as monsters so..yeah)
The first villager to greet me on my island was Rory, he asked me for some candy and I obviously didn't have any but he was nice enough to give me some since this was technically my first time( Aww, Rory, ain't he a swell guy)...
I then went to visit another fave villager of mine, Marina (PSYCH! all my villagers are awesome, we don't have faves--not in my house) I thought my current outfit would net me some major candy, but Marina informed me that my current drip wasnt even considered a costume..
Surprised that my current drip wasn't a fit, I raced towards the Able Sisters shop to get a spooky outfit, I managed to put together something that actually looked pretty cool I combined the White Mage Hoodie with the White Raggedy Outfit to make a pretty cool ghoul looking costume..
Fun Fact: this pic was taken after I got rid of all the roaches in my house! YAY!
So, after I got my new drip I wanted to up the ante on my look, and thought adding some ghoulish color make up would do the trick, I ran over to the town hall to get a halloween makeup kit from the kiosk! ( I was doing my best solid snake impression to avoid any wandering candy hunting eyes from my villager homies, but luckily they were too busy having what looked like a scare-off to notice me passing by...
SNEAK 1000
I was able to cop my kit after that successful sneak, and I was able to pull another successful sneak back to my pad (good thing I built my house right next to town hall), I picked the ghostly white color and while it did match well with my costume and gave off a cool ghost vibe, I still felt like something was missing, but I wasn't able to simmer on that thought for too long because MOONLIGHT was burning and there was pumpkin head that need to be COPPED!
Looking FRESH TO DEATH (hehe get it...) I marched my way over to Jack to give him my first candy of the night in hopes I would get a Pumpkin Head in return , but in exchange from my low-level candy he gave me a robe of his, then said if I wanted a bigger and better treat then I had to give him a BIGGER and BETTER treat--a lolipop! It was then and there that my quest shifted from Pumpkin to lollipop quest..
I just LOVE how this DUDE, JUST IS
Luckily, the next villager that came up to me for candy gave me a lolipop in return (thanks Piper), I rushed back to Jack with another villager, Gonzo hot on my heels ( I would have gave candy to the old guy but I ONLY HAD ONE LOLIPOP in my inventory )....
In return I got a spooky carriage, cool but still no pumpkin head, so the quest is still on like DK! I went around my town giving out candy to other villagers and got some candy in return and some Halloween recipes in return.
I was running a bit low on candy and decided to up my costume game again by allowing Rory to trick me , so I could get the special halloween face paint, and it turned out pretty well in my favor because it made my outfit look even more ghoulish...
My upgraded costume did net me some more candy, but I didn't get another loli, unlit I crossed paths with Piper again ( I guess she was just hoarding a bunch of lolipops, huh?)..
For my candy fetching efforts, I was awarded the recipe for a Pumpkin Carriage, again good but STILL no Pumpkin HEAD! I AINT GOT JACK!
I went around the town one more time with the small amount of candy I had left and was only able to get some more Halloween theme items and recipes...
Getting a bit desperate I asked my sister to help me get some more candy, and she was able to get a lolipop, she didn't tell me from who tho' ( Piper seemed a lil sus maybe she was just holding out on me..Oof) but it didn't really matter where the lolipop came from, all that mattered now that it was outside my front door there for me to pick up and give to Jack, which I did and....
YESSSS! FINALLY! THE GOOD HAS BEEN GOT! THE DRIP HAS FINALLY BEEN COPPED! and it only took like 2 hours! After being presented my award for my efforts, I quickly put on my new treads, but I wanted to make this moment even more special and go the extra mile, so I went around trick or treating one more time, just trick or treating amongst my villagers, which was way easier using the Jack costume since alot of villagers seemed to be frighten by him and basically give up their sweet without question...
I kind of started to feel bad for my villagers, I didn't want to spook them too much, so I just reverted back to my not as scary but still spooky cool ghoul costume, I wasn't really looking for candy this time around but for the Halloween Lantern recipe, so I could make the Halloween wand (which I could do since I have alot of star shards saved up for moments like these) and I was able to obtain the lantern recipe from old man, Gonzo...
With the wand in hand I was able to add the Jack outfit to my collection of cool wand outfits, and with it I was able to make this cool little gif..
Yep, all that runnning around was worth it for this! Well, I hope you enjoy me rambling on about my island, if anything else cool happens I'll prolly post it here, I'm gong to try to do a redemption arc on my island to get it back into shape and might document that journey on here idk..Anyways, how was your Halloween on your island? Were you able to get all the neat Halloween recipes? or were you able to cop Jack's Drip or nah? tell I would really like to know in the comments..Hope you guys had a SpOoKy COOL (and Safe) Halloween...
