Side Quest: Sims 5 Wishlist/Bingo Card

Coming back on my Sims 5 Speculation BS, a lot of people say they really don't want the Sims 5 because EA needs to focus on the Sims 4, but the Sims 4 is beyond repair at this point because a lot of its problems are foundational. While EA says that they will keep supporting the sims, at least point the best they can do this make more kits and pack, and fix bugs (at least they try to). Some others believe that having another Sims game is meaningless because we already have Sims, Sims 2, Sims 3, and 4 but I think having the Sims 5 is important because it gives EA/Maxis a chance to show that they have learned from their mistakes from the Sims 4 and they can ACTUALLY make a functional sims game again. So, I think that fact only makes a Sims 5 a pretty important entry into the series.

After looking at the Sims 5 leak Reddit post one more time I saw that the leaker mentioned a logo reveal for the Sims 5 happening sometime around Fall 2021 with the official announcement for the game coming out in 2022.....

The leaker also mentions the Sims 4 not planning to stop anytime soon, which makes the leaker's info even more believable to me...

I think this is important because as I mentioned before in my previous post, The Sim's social media accounts AND website have got a complete rebranding while that might not count as a logo reveal, I think that's pretty close enough to say that it pretty much is. I've used some information from the leak to make a bingo card just for fun in Adobe Express, I kinda messed up on the card because you really can't make a clean diagonal line, but for making a vertical/horizontal bingo its pretty Gucci..

Again, these leaks are just speculation at this point, but still very convincing, plus it was just fun to make this bingo sheet and it'll be even more fun to actually use it during the stream. Even if it doesn't get filled up

Until next time, Later Days...

Side Quests: Sims Summit Speculations

image from i.imgur.com

On September 14th the Sims released a free kit called Desert Lux, basically, a kit filled with items that I would fit perfectly in Oasis Spring, or a choice pick if you really dig natural color scheme, the kit was made with the help of an EA game changer UrbanSims (I think. On the same day, EA announced that the Sims 4 base game was going to be free forever, basically turning Sims 4 into a free-to-play game, not only that but they also announced a special stream/program called "Behind The Sims" Summit streaming on October 18th.

The stream is supposedly going to be EA about the current development of the Sims 4 along with some new stuff they have been working on behind the scenes, A lot of Simmers have been speculating on WHAT EA could be working on. EA has been pretty quiet on the homefront since the release of High School Years back in June, many people have been mixed on the high school pack, a lot of people seemed pretty hyped when the trailer dropped and the first few weeks of the pack's release but after a while, people started to see the usual problems that seem to have been peaking through the new game pack, and kits releases as of late.

I'm gonna save my thoughts on High School Years for another post, even though that pack came and went I STILL have my opinions on it, and with the trailer, I've noticed something really funny that no one else has pointed out yet. Anyways, back to the main topic, the announcement of the Sims Summit stream got a lot of players thinking (including myself) about what the new development could be about. While some think that the summit is just going to go over the current road map for the sims and that's it, I think it may actually be an announcement (if not an official release date) for the Sims 5.

I KNOW its a big speculation but I have some proof to back this point up, back in July 2020 on The Sims Reddit, a user posted details about what could be in the next installment for the sims, The Sims 5

Side Quests: Splatoon 3 and The first Splatfest

🚨SPOILERS AHEAD🚨

You have been warned

image from i.imgur.com

(I think I'm going to call these type of post where I just ramble or give my first impressions on a game side quest, and just cuz it sounds really cute)

I've been playing Splatoon 3 since launch and I've been really enjoying it,  I've been a fan of Splatoon since the first one. I really love the colors, the characters, the lore, the world-building, and most of all THE TURF WARS! One thing that really stood out with this version of Splatoon is the story mode, I think this might be my favorite story mode so far next to the Octo Expansion (if you can count that as a story mode). The story mode style takes alot more from the Octo Expansion as in you get a set of recommended weapons to try out with each level and there are a ton more puzzle levels in this story...

I was hoping that the story mode would explain a little bit more of the current state of inklipos or splat-lands as a whole, but I think that stuff might be saved for dlc. The story in Splatoon 3 is that the zap fish as been stolen YET AGAIN, at first Captain Cuttlefish thinks its his old rival, DJ Ocativo (same as the last two games) but after defeating DJ Octavio its sooner revealed that he wasn't the one who stole the zap fish, it was a new enemy who soon kidnaps Cuttlefish and its now up to the squid sisters, captain (who was formerly agent 3) and new recruited agent 3 to save Cuttlefish, the zap fish, and ultimately the world!

Food For Thought: Never Too Late To Start Again!

So, I think I'm going to call these posts for food thought because, you know that's a phrase, and I like to use pics and gifs of anime and cartoon food as the header so yeah. Anyway, I  was looking at this blog and kind of lamenting (to myself) about how I used to make more fun, interesting or informative posts, and it feels like I'm in a two-year runt of just self-loathing, and """depression""" but after looking through my blog archive, that proves not to be true. While yeah there were a few (I mean a lot) of sad hour posts, but every once in a while I would make a making of the post of some MMD stuff I was working on,  or talk about a movie I just watched, and that was really surprising to me.

Taking art a BIT too seriously

This morning I was working on another art thing, and I was trying to think up how long the art thing I was working on would take me, and if I could finish it (again, I try to finish my stuff in a day, which is impossible), and then I started to worry if I was behind on my art progress. It took moment for me to realize that this is A BIG worry for me as artist and as a person in general. When I was younger I was always given extra help since it took me longer to get certain subjects, and whenever it felt like I FINALLY understood a subject then it would be too late by then, and the whole class had already moved on to another subject. Or, When I would be taking a test in class, I would always be the last one to finish (even with extra time), and I WOULD HATE the feeling of being the last to finish the test (that's one of the only liminal spaces I don't like)...

Dang, was I really that tough....

image from i.imgur.com

So, I spent most of the day doing some introspection (my fave activity of course), I was up late last night thinking about stuff. I was thinking about how I feel like how I see myself doesn't really match up with how I'm actually am (if that makes any sense), like I feel like I'm super unproductive and that all my projects suck, and I dont really take time to post on my blog or make cool stuff for my neocities as often as I should. But then, I started to think about how every time I felt like that there would be someone who would look at my stuff and say "aye, that's pretty good", and this would happen both IRL and online.  This is something that always confused me, and its been happening alot at lately...

I started to think about my journal, since I journal alot, and then started to think about my blog (this blog), since I blog a lot or at least frequently. Just from thinking about it I started to notice how different my POV or voice was when I was in writing in my journal IRL and when I was writing stuff for my blog. I felt like I wasn't as sad post-y when I was blogging (hopefully) as I was when writing in my journal.

New Rule: Anime Food

New Rule: Anime Food

image from i.imgur.com

I wanna start every post from now on (that's not a review or when I'm not clever enough to think up a header image) with a pic of anime/cartoon food because it's always so pretty to look at (and how knows it might even remind me to eat on occasion, lol). Anyways, I told myself from now on that I was gonna skip the whole speech of "oh sorry for not posting in a min" but I realize that speech always discourages me from posting and making feel bad n' shiz, this blog is pretty chill and if there IS anyone who looks forward to these post, they can probably take the hint that I really care about this post and enjoy posting, its just that more often than not I become a victim of my overly critical self-critic, and it makes me feel like a loser doing anything (even simple stuff like playing video games or watching anime).

I feel like if I don't do those things on an (unrealistically) strict basis, I'll lose interest it wouldn't be fun anymore, then I'll feel like a  loser because I can't even enjoy things that I used to, I think that my 2 year depression slump I had to do something with that, I was in a bad place and almost any activity I used to love just didn't feel fun aor worth it anymore. The only thing I had left was art, and it did help that there would be at least a FEW people that would like my stuff and made me feel like a I had some control and presence in my life. I think was going through what they call "Anhedonia", I know that its VERY CURRENT year to try to psychoanalyze myself, but I really think that's what I was (and still is kind of) going through, the things I liked doing just became meh, and think I had a fear in part taking in said activity because I didn't want to feel like the feeling of emptiness that I was going to be eventually followed by the feeling of dread.

Worried about: the new year (ig)
Drinking: Canda Dry Vanilla Bean Giner Ale Watching: Youtube Mood: Feelin' Fine Reading:  Every Heart A Doorway Chapter 2

YEET, its the end of another year, and to celebrate it I decided to try to answer an end-of-the-year questionnaire  like its 2007 or something, I don't know if I'll do this EVERY year, but it just looks like fun so hear goes...

First things first, did you have a good year? Eeeh, it was kind of weird this year, the first half of the year basically felt like 2020 part 2, but the later half was way better once I moved out
How old did you turn this year? I don't know about you but I turned 22, heh love that meme
Do you feel your age? No, I still feel like maybe 19 at the oldest
Did your appearance change in anyway? NOPE
Post your favorite selfie. I don't take selfies, but I do make picrews and here's my favorite picrew of this year

image from i.imgur.com

If you traveled, where did you go? I didn't really travel all that much, but I'm hoping to do that more next year or the next next year
Which fashion trends did you love?  y2k, I just love the whole nostalgic vibe of the aesthetic along with the retrofuturism of it all
Which fashion trends did you hate? cottage core, yeah it can be cute at times but only really works in a fantasy setting  the best IMO, in real life its kind of weird not in a good way
What was your favorite article of clothing this year? Post a pic if possible? My princess peach bomber jacket
What song sums up this year for you? Boredom by Tyler The Creator, at least that's what I  can say about the first half of the year
What album came out and has been on heavy rotation since then?  Sales LP, or Apricot Princess

Genshin Boys and New Years Wishes

Eating: None

Playing: JUST GOT

DONE w/Genshin Grind

Worried about: the new year (ig)
Drinking: None Watching: Youtube Mood:kind of sleepy Reading:  Every Heart A Doorway (soon hopefully)

OOF, I just got done with my Genshin Impact grind to get a new character Arataki Itto, it took me 15 days to get him, and I was basically playing the game straight for those 15 days. Some nights I didn't go to sleep until 3 am, and my dreams were literally Genshin Impact theme. While I do really enjoy the world and characters of Genshin, I still find the story to be aaayeeeuh?, like I understand the basic story of the traveler finding their sibling but other than that I just feel like Spiderman in this frame...

image from i.imgur.com

(This is LITERALLY me every time I beat a boss in Genshin)

Granted I did kind of STEAMROLLED thru most of the story and SOME of the world quest to COP Itto quicker, but I felt like even in the moments where I tried my best to slow down and pay attention to the story I was still like "WOT!?". It was kind of weird since I was so IN GROSSED with the story of FNAF: Security Breach, a game I did NOT expect to give as much attention to as I did, even though I just watched playthrough. I think I need to give the story another try, since I'm only finished the 2n act of the first chapter, and I could always just look up story recap /explain vids on Youtube, if I really REALLY can't pick up with the story is putting down. (Other than finding a lost sibling.)

image from i.imgur.com

ANYWAY, I got the BOI, BBY! JUST look at him in ALL his ONI GORLY! I was so worried that I wasn't going to get him, I had to recalculate the odds and gems and EVERYTHING. This was the MOST math I had done in a WHILE, which is weird cuz' I despite mathematics, but it was worth it to get big boy! I also got this buddy too, Gorou, well at least I assume that they're buddies, since Itto speaks well of Gorou in his voice lines (and I read a fic of them just vibin' and I really dug the bromance)..
