Late Night Rambles #1: Different Approach
12/26/2019
So, while waiting for my minecraft save to download (the save that I transferred from my computer, that Spoiler Alert did even download, OOF!) I decided to do some late night internet web surfing, not just scrolling through twitter, instagram, or youtube, but going out an actually exploring old (and some still working) websites, I like looking at old website from the late 90s and early mid 2000s (places like geocities and angelfire) because while most are really tacky you can tell its made by a real person who just love whatever their website or page was about, or just liked collecting blinkies, or just liked making and share junk on the internet not for likes and followers but just for the fact to look at it online and say "Hey, I made that!". It just gives a really good heart warming feeling, that I don't get too often on the modern web, this also made think about my own website on Neocities, looking at the some of these old websites made me re-think about my own. I started to realize that I was taking an approach to my neocities site that was a little bit too modren. Neocities was suppose to be my chance to make a website that I would have if I was a 20 year old in 90s or early mid 2000s, not like how I would make a webiste now if you know what I mean...I think I'm going to try to go for a more simple approach to my Neocities then come back to the more complex city theme later, but I'm still happy with how my pixel art come out I'll still have a place on the site for it, I just think imma go for a more 90s approach. Sorry if this post was a bit rambly (prolly has a bunch of typos) its just that this was really on my mind a almost 3 am.....until next time later days...
