June 2019

My PC Oofed, but I'm back now

I was working on some poses for my sims game (because I was finally going to start it up again) my pc started acting slow and all my icons started glitch in and out, but they been doing that for a while since the windows update and just got fed up with and pressed the restart button on my tower. Which now thinking back on it wasn't the most smartest idea but my pc was going REAL slow and it kind sorta work before-- just that the only difference was that I restarted it through the pc and not the tower. After that when my PC started back up it, I was greet with the infamous blue screen of death (now with added annoying sad face emoticon). Turns out that when I restarted my pc when the icons were flashing and froze it was like doing a mini restart and gathering up all the important files and stuff need for the PC to run properly and when I restarted from the tower that kind of SHOOK my PC and it lost the component needed to start up properly, so, I had to get my dad to fix it and I had basically get a new pc because alot my stuff in my tower was like 5 years old (which basically means 10000 years old in PC terms). I had to start fresh but I was able to get most of my old files from my old drive-- I say "most" because I forgot to carry over my sims save files and didn't realize it until after I formatted my old drive for space. I was able to get my mods and screenshots out tho, so that's good!

Part of me was kind of glad to start anew with my PC, like I said before I had that set up for 5 years and it was starting to go really slow, and think that was mostly to do with the fact that when I was younger I used to have a really bad habit of downloading every and any game or "cool" program I could get my baby hands on. Alot of those games where opened-world RPG MMOs so they were pretty big, and I would usually end up only playing them like a few times and totally forgetting I had them on my PC, which wasn't good. But, I now I decided to only stick to the essentials and games I really like playing, I took a look my hard-drive and all of it only took up about 217 mb with 740  left to spare. It was nice to that I had a lot of space left and that also proved that most of the stuff I had on my drive before was mostly just junk that forgot about.

Drive spaceThis also gave me an chance to make my own wallpaper and lock screen for my PC in Photoshop, both turned out pretty good if I do say so myself...

Lockscreen for pc
Lockscreen for pcthese used to be just random cute art I found online, but this time I made something of my own and it feels pretty good, maybe one day I'll be able to drawn something good enough to be my wallpaper, but this photoshop edit is good enough for now.

Although, I'm both excited and relieved  to be back on my PC, I kind of stumb for ideas at the moment for what to do, what I wanted to do today was finish my wallpaper and lockscreen and I was able to do that way quicker than expected, and I kind of feel mental "Oofed" after waiting for all my programs to download and anxiously seeing if my dad had to do any quick fixes. Thank goodness chrome keeps most of my bookmarks or I would have probably gaven up my static website entirely because I wanted to shout out some cool  people I found on Neocities. *Sigh* I'm pretty sure I just need to rest and I'll come up with something tomorrow--it was just a little touch and go there, and I don't need to be on the computer 24/7-- I can take breaks...

but yeah that's all I wanted to say until next time
