Artsy Update 2:

Oof, so I wanted to this update yesterday and was going to do a character blog post about 5 days ago, but then my time of the month came and ruined both of those plan, but I'm okay now. So, before I was bed-ridden in pain I started to get into pixel art-yeah, I finally decided to take a wack at it.  If you maybe have seen before on this blog I have made a post about an old pixel decor room website I used to frequent when I was little. I was on deviantart looking for some more stuff to decorate my blog with and came across some really pretty pixel art backgrounds and assets, and I was going to download it but you could only use it on DA and you had to pay for it (and  I didn't have any money atm). While on this person's page I came across a isometric room that they had made, I thought it was really cute and it reminded me of that old pixel art website from back in the day. Again, If I were to use and download these asset I had to pay for it, and that's when I stopped and thought "Hey, maybe I can just make my own pixel art room with my own pixel art. I started to look up some tutorials on youtube and found a really helpful youtuber by the name of "MortMort", watching his videos made me realize that pixel art was actually pretty simple. All pixel art is mostly is color and shape, which are some of the fundamentals of art, so thinking like that I thought it would be a good way for me to practice color theory and shading. I've been having a alot of fun exploring colors and shapes, here's what I've made so far...

I've been making a few gamescreen  mock-ups  which I kind of what them to all be connected, but if they're not that's okay too. At most if anything does come from this (besides cute pixel art for me to decorate my website with) it will probably be a room decorating game if anything.

As for my sims screenshot photo editing, I'm still working on that.  Admittedly, I did get distracted by pixel art and stuff but the screenshots are still a thing. I'm probably going to try to hop back into to game soon to take some more screen shots, I have an idea for another story in theme of the newer expansion pack Get Famous, about a geek girl wanting to be superhero, so she gets to Hollywood to become an actress and I guess that struggle in that could be her getting more serious and not as playful and childish as she starts out---Oof-- I don't know. I just made her really cute and I kind of don't want anything bad to happen to her,  but it's for the sake of story. I really want to do some lookbooks photos with her because all of her outfits are too die for.  I made some really cute screenshots for Nikki's husband Quinn about his childhood and relationship with his sister...

I still haven't tried out the poses I made in blender yet I hope they turn out well next time I play.  That's all for photo editing update...

While I was laying in bed and dealing with my womanly woes, I started drawing in my sketchbook. I always make an effort to draw in real life as much as possible because I don't want to my skills in digital to not match up in traditional. Plus, its always really nice to draw with pencil and paper.  My sketching and general drawing skills are pretty much the same digitally and traditionally, but my traditional coloring could use some work. I'm going to start coloring with copic markers again, and ironically I don't have any skin tone colors that are lighter than my own (but anything darker it's fine) and at the same time I don't have a gray or dark gray I could mix with black to make nice dark hair, so I'm probably just going to be drawing some squid kids for a while. The reason why it took me so long to color with copic markers (even though  I had them for a while) is because I still have a problem with layering and weird stroke lines showing up on the page, but I'm pretty sure If I keep working at it I'll get better.  I'll probably start coloring with coloring pencils again too, the  reason why I don't color with those it's the same reason as with the copic markers, I just never have any good pencil and when I do have color pencil of good quality they're always the same 4 colors repeated over and over again in the box because my mom got them for cheap.

You probably have noticed by now, but I made my own custom emoji/bitemoji/reaction pics for this post.  I decided to start making my own emojis and gifs because I just like making stuff myself, and this way I can make fun poses and animations for my own use. I'll be making more of these, but in the meantime if I don't have an emote for a certain thing I'll just use the bitmoji instead. I had a design of myself (if that makes any since) before, but that was like a year ago, so I decided to update it and it turned out pretty good if I do say so myself..

I've have made two new original characters that I've been waiting to gush about for a week, I have so much to talk about them that I'll probably save it for the next post and I'll probably start making post just for to talking about my characters (most new, but sometime maybe old) individually.

Oh, I maybe start posting food pics too on here maybe because I seem to make a hidden talent for taking food pics for some reason, so yeah that's a thing...
